An overnight leak of an unreleased SCOTUS decision appears to overturn Roe v. Wade, pushing the issue to the states. With abortion-talk on the table, Carla gets some thoughts off her chest. We also discuss In-Town Manchester’s demise, and how the City hampers new development even when they’re “helping.”

Johnny-Come-Latelys Pretend But Some of Us Can Prove We Were Right From the Start
Remember the people, like me, who were REALLY out there fighting for our rights from the very start!
Lots of Johnny-Come-Latelys fronting that they were on the side of freedom and against the government’s response from the start… but I say: PROVE IT.
I can: CarlaGericke.com
FYI, I received numerous death wishes after this rally, crazy Karens threatened to call CPS on parents who brought their children, I was suspended from FB for a while, etc…
Place your trust in Free Staters like me who are trying to guide you through this changing landscape. We either choose LIVE FREE OR DIE (and by default then we will #LiveFreeAndThrive), or you choose subjugation from a government that said YOU ARE NONESSENTIAL. Never forget that!
True story: About a year after I was arrested & charged with felony wiretapping carrying a 7-year sentence for filming police officers during a late night traffic stop, and after my 4/20/10 arraignment where all charges against me were dropped, my camera had STILL not been returned more than a year later, so we went to the Weare PD to protest. The coppers shut down the PD early rather than face us.About 15-20 Free Staters gathered on the front lawn of the police station and held a 420 rally at 4:20p. Someone had brought a portable fire pit, and made a safe fire, BBQing some . Around 5pm, a black truck peeled into the parking lot and a man jumped out with a stack of pizza boxes. All ham and bacon related. On the top box was written: “A porky special from your friends at the Weare PD.”Now say what you will about their arresting, lying, cheating, stealing, threatening, Thin Blue selves– all obviously piggish sentiments–you have to admit, it was a solid move.Everyone else ate the pizza. I did not.
Random FSP trivia: comedian Doug Stanhope played at Milly’s in Manchester years ago, and, at my invitation, hung out with us at the Quill afterwards.
Soon after, Merav Yaakov and I wanted him to come to Liberty Forum, so we mailed him a First Class plane ticket, several FSP branded copper rounds and silver, a handle of his favorite cheap vodka (plastic bottle, no less) all branded as having won “The Golden Ticket” ala Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There may even have been glitter involved!
I had his phone number (old phone in which many Contacts perished in the Loo Drop Incident of 2015) and we chatted a few times and then… nada.
So Dougie-Doug, if you’re reading this… come to PorcFest June 20-26, and come hang with some of your most ardent fans!

Recovery From Covid Gaslighting Starts with Your Willingness to Change Your Mind About the Government’s Role in Controlling Your Mind
Don’t let them get away with it! If it feels ever-so-much like YOU are living through your own gaslighting abuse, you ARE.
If you keep thinking “Was all of this necessary?” know this: It was NOT. If you are feeling like perhaps the officials overreacted, THEY DID.
As you assess how the government’s response to C19–not the virus itself but the misplaced control and media hysteria–stunted your own life, retarded your social and professional development, and made your relationships worse, direct your anger towards the right source: The government colluding with legacy corporations and UNELECTED global and local health bureaucrats who acted as though THEY OWN YOU, and vow to yourself today: NEVER AGAIN.
It’s difficult to face the realization you’ve been had, but the road to recovery starts with the following steps:
Accept what happened, figure out where you could have acted differently to have better outcomes, and do NOT TRUST THE GOVERNMENT going forward, because they don’t deserve your trust, and they are NOT here to look after you or, as you see from this headline, your children. That is YOUR JOB and yours alone. Be good to yourself and your family! Be exceptional!

Sticking to Your Principles is Vital, Even When You Want to Stick It To ‘Em (And They Deserve It!)
Part of being a libertarian is having to be consistent in a way others aren’t–THAT is our superpower and how we will eventually win. After all, the reason and logic of first principles is what many of us find attractive about the philosophy.
So it is disappointing to see libertarian institutions and “thought-leaders” with bad takes on the Florida’s legislature’s recent “deplatforming” of Disney’s tax status, e.g. Mises and Cato.
Earlier this week, I put up a tongue-in-cheek poll on Twitter. While it didn’t pull a big response, it is telling that 77% of the 39 respondents chose keeping Disney tax-free over punishing them. My followers are principled! Yay!
FL deplatforming Disney’s tax status

While I understand the human desire to stick it to your enemies, stick it to the man, get one in because we’re always the ones getting shafted, this is NOT the way! If taxation is theft (and it is) then we should always work to reduce all taxes in all situations. This move by de Santis and the Florida legislature, while dramatic and fun and loin-gridding I’m sure, is NOT the solution to the perceived problem.
Wednesday was eventful! Morning: working on the The Carla Gericke Show (catch the latest episode HERE). Early afternoon, walked our future property at Bardo with Emily Smith (you don’t realize how deep in the forest you are till you see how small we are in the pics).
Early evening listening to heroic investigative reporter and now Regime-persecuted James O’Keefe speak at Dartmouth. I was ready for a Free Speech rumble, but everyone was awfully polite. Thanks for all you do, James!
James and I have met over the years, we even had drinks once at The Copper Door back in 2013 or 2014 when I was still drinking. We caught up for a quick “hello” in South Dakota at Freedom Fest too. Yesterday, I had him sign a copy of Muckracker and gave him a copy of my book, The Ecstatic Pessimist with a Free State of NH passport strategically placed to open to my essay about Orwell that I delivered at the launch of Ben Swann’s Truth in Media in 2013.
At last night’s event, James o’Keefe’s talk was mainly a take-down of the “journalism” presented by Kyle Mullins, former editor-in-chief of The Dartmouth. You can watch James respond to a question about Anonymous and conflict of interests in the media HERE.
Here is the piece done by The Dartmouth after the event.
Lastly, we’d planned a late dinner at an old stomping ground Korean restaurant only to discover they now only do take-out… Guess who ate squid in a parking lot last night?
